Koi CBD Vape Review (2026): The Balance Bar, and What Happened to the Rest
Koi built its name on CBD vape juice. That product is gone. What is left is a single disposable — the Balance Bar, 500mg of CBD across seven flavours — plus a THCA disposable that is a very different device for a very different customer. Here is what each one is and whether either replaces what Koi used to sell.

If you are here because you used to buy Koi CBD vape juice, the Balance Bar is the product Koi would point you at. It is not the same thing, and the section below on what was discontinued explains why.
Koi Balance Bar CBD Vape — 8.0
A pocket disposable carrying 500mg of Koi PRIZM broad-spectrum CBD, at $35.99 for one or $79.99 for a three-pack. That works out to 7.2¢ per milligram single, dropping to about 5.3¢ on the three-pack, which is a genuine saving rather than a token one.
Broad spectrum means THC is listed at 0.001% — effectively undetectable — so this is the Koi vape you buy if you are drug tested. It is non-intoxicating; there is no high here, and any product promising one from a CBD-only device is misrepresenting itself.
What is good: the flavour work is genuinely above average for the format, the device draws consistently to the end rather than dying at 70%, and every batch has a COA behind the QR code on the packaging. What is not: it is a disposable, so you throw away a battery every 500mg, and at three-pack pricing you are still paying more per milligram of CBD than you would for the Complete Full Spectrum gummies. You are paying for onset speed, which inhalation genuinely delivers — minutes rather than the 45 to 90 an edible takes.

Safe, well executed, hard to dislike. The one to buy if you are ordering blind.

Genuinely sour rather than sweet-labelled-sour. Divisive, and the strongest cooling of the seven.
Piña Colada Ice
Coconut carries better in vapour than most people expect. Pleasant, a little one-note by the end.

Strawberry Milk is creamy and heavy; Sour Gummy is candy-forward. Both are competent, neither is where we would start.
The three-pack is the sensible purchase: it is cheaper per milligram and it lets you find out which flavour you actually want to reorder.
Koi THCA + THCP + Delta 9 5g Disposable — 7.8
A completely different proposition: 5 grams of intoxicating cannabinoids at $69.99, combining THCA, THCP and delta-9 THC. THCP in particular is potent, and this device is not a beginner product.
It scores well on value for what it is and on lab work, and lower on accessibility — THCA products are not shipped to Arkansas, California, Idaho, Minnesota, Oregon or Rhode Island, and it will absolutely show on a drug test. What Koi discontinued
Koi CBD vape juice — the 250mg and 500mg bottles of e-liquid that made the brand’s name around 2018 — is no longer in the catalogue. Neither is the Koi Flavored CBD Vape Juice line, the unflavoured additive, or any refillable option. There is no bottled e-liquid in the Koi range at all in 2026.
The reasons are not hard to infer. Koi’s vape juice was the product at the centre of a 2019 lawsuit brought by a consumer who failed a workplace drug test after buying it on a 0% THC claim, and the FDA’s November 2019 warning letter named CBD Vape Oil among the products it objected to. If what you wanted was vape juice
Be clear about what you are replacing. Bottled e-liquid gave you a refillable device, cheaper cost per millilitre over time, and control over strength. A disposable gives you none of those. If those were the reasons you bought Koi vape juice, the Balance Bar is not a substitute and you should look at brands still making bottled CBD e-liquid rather than settling.
If what you actually wanted was fast-onset CBD in a convenient format, the Balance Bar does that job well, and the three-pack makes the economics tolerable.
Verdict
The Balance Bar is a good disposable: seven well-made flavours, 500mg of broad-spectrum CBD, honest labelling and batch COAs. Buy the three-pack, not the single. It is the right Koi vape for anyone who is drug tested or who simply wants CBD without intoxication.
It is not, however, a replacement for the vape juice Koi used to sell, and the brand has been quiet about that. If the refillable format is what you came for, Koi no longer serves you.
