What is THCA flower?

It is hemp flower whose cannabinoid content is mostly THCA, the acidic precursor to Delta 9 THC. Because the finished flower stays at or below 0.3% Delta 9 THC by dry weight before heating, it is sold as hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill.

Is THCA flower the same as regular cannabis flower?

Botanically it is the same plant. The difference is the legal framework it is sold under and the fact that it is tested in its raw, unheated state. Effects once smoked or vaporised are generally reported as comparable.

What are “snow caps”?

Flower that has been coated in kief or THCA isolate, which pushes the labelled percentage well above what the buds alone would test at. Both Bloomz Hemp and Utoya sell versions of this.

Can THCA flower be shipped everywhere?

No. Several states restrict hemp THC products including THCA flower, and brands maintain their own exclusion lists that change frequently. Always check the brand’s shipping page before ordering.
