THC gummies: Galaxy on price, Koi on ceiling

Galaxy Treats runs 16 gummy products and prices them like a brand that expects you to buy on impulse. Purple Punch OG D9 lists from $13.99, the D8 extra-strength range from $9.99, and several products drop to $2.99 to $4.99 at their lowest listed price. Its distinguishing formula is the D8 plus D9 plus THCP blend, which stacks three cannabinoids in one piece and is not something Koi makes in gummy form.

Koi is more expensive and goes higher. Extra Strength Delta 9 is 25mg THC with a matched 25mg of CBD; Dragon Blend is 125mg of total cannabinoids in a single gummy, which is the strongest piece either brand sells. Jars run $39.99 to $79.99.

The matched CBD in Koi's Delta-9 gummy is worth noting, because it changes the experience rather than just the number. 25mg of THC on its own is a lot; 25mg with 25mg of CBD lands differently, and if high-THC edibles usually leave you wired that is the reason to pay Koi's price. If you just want a 10mg gummy and the cheapest one wins, that is Galaxy every time.

Flower and pre-rolls: Galaxy on price, Koi on knowing what you bought

Galaxy's diamond-infused THCA pre-rolls are $8.39 for a two-pack across six strains, and its Orbital pre-rolls are $25.19. Koi's diamond-infused pre-roll is $14.99 single, $27.99 for two and $59.99 for five, and its kief-infused minis start at $49.99 for six. On sticker price Galaxy wins that outright.

Flower is where the comparison gets more interesting. Galaxy's Space Nugz are $13.99 for four strains — but the listing does not state the weight, which makes a per-gram comparison impossible and is a reasonable thing to hold against it. Koi runs three named tiers with the weight printed on every option: Silver at $24.99 for 3.5g, Gold at $34.99 and Platinum at $44.99, up to 14g at $84.99 to $129.99.

Both are restricted the same way. Neither brand can ship THCA to Arkansas, California, Idaho, Minnesota, Oregon or Rhode Island, and Koi's Gold and Silver tiers were out of stock at the time of writing while Platinum and the pre-rolls were available.

Everything else: Koi, uncontested

Galaxy Treats sells no CBD-only products, no tinctures, no topicals, no capsules, no vapes currently listed and nothing for pets. That is not an oversight — it is the business. Galaxy is a THC brand.

Koi sells all of it: three CBD gummy lines at 10mg a piece, the Koi Naturals broad-spectrum tincture for people who cannot have THC, four topicals including a 3000mg balm, a 5g THCA/THCP/Delta-9 disposable, six pet products and the NMN and CBG Daytime Boost gummy.

If your household includes someone who wants CBD without THC, a dog with stiff hips, or a knee that needs a balm, the entire order goes to Koi and Galaxy is not in the conversation.

A note on the discounting

Galaxy Treats runs 25, 30 and 35 percent off bundles as standing offers and lists several gummies with a lowest price under $5. Permanent discounting like that means the list price is not really the price, and the practical effect is that you should never buy a single Galaxy product at full price when a two-product bundle costs barely more.

Koi discounts differently: a published 15 percent off a first order, 20 percent on subscriptions, 25 percent through its Koi Cares programme for veterans, medical workers and others, plus dated promotional codes. Neither approach is better. Galaxy's suits impulse buying and stocking up; Koi's rewards subscribing and buying larger sizes. Just do not compare their list prices without checking what each is actually charging on the day.

Lab work and guarantees

Both publish third-party lab results. Koi's certificates are searchable by the lot number on the package, which lets you verify the item in your hand rather than a representative batch, and Koi publishes a specific returns policy: full refund on returns started within 90 days, 50 percent between 91 and 150 days.

Koi's regulatory history is public and worth knowing: a 2019 California class action, Fausett v. Koi CBD, voluntarily dismissed without prejudice in February 2020, and FDA warning letters in November 2019 and July 2023. We cover the record on our Koi lawsuit page.

The transparency gap that actually affects a purchase decision here is smaller than either of those: Galaxy does not print the weight of its Space Nugz flower on the listing. For a product sold by the gram, that is the number you need.
