Hemp products are priced in a way that makes comparison almost impossible on purpose. One brand sells a 30-count bottle, another a 60-count jar, a third a single can. Milligrams are quoted per piece here, per package there. Half the labels quote a total that includes CBD.
So we did the arithmetic. We took every product in our review catalogue where the potency is stated plainly, divided price by total milligrams, and sorted.
The spread is much wider than most people would guess. Among THC gummies it runs from 1.5 cents per milligram to 92 cents per milligram — a 61-fold difference between the cheapest and the dearest.

Before the tables: three honest caveats
Cost per milligram is a useful lens, not a verdict. Three things it does not capture.
It ignores everything except THC. Several products near the expensive end are CBD-dominant formulas with a small amount of THC added. FOCL's THC+ range pairs 2.5–5 mg of THC with a much larger CBD dose; dividing by the THC alone makes it look extravagant when most of what you are buying is the CBD. The same applies to High Spirits' 10:1 gummies. Where a product is built around a ratio, judge it on the ratio.
It ignores how it was made. Live rosin and live resin extraction costs considerably more than distillate. Indoor-grown flower costs more than outdoor. Organic ingredients, vegan pectin, real fruit and third-party full-panel testing all cost money. A product at three times the price per milligram is not automatically three times worse value.
These are listed prices. We used prices as listed at the time of writing, before any discount code. Nearly every brand in this table runs standing promotions of 15–33%, which reshuffles the order. Our deals page has current codes.
With that said — a 61-fold spread is not explained by ingredients.

| Haze Midnight Blend Gummies | $29.99 | 2,000 mg | 1.5¢ |
| Haze Brain Stew D9 Gummies | $29.99 | 600 mg | 5.0¢ |
| Premium Jane Delta-8 Gummies | $58.00 | 625 mg | 9.3¢ |
| Diet Smoke Blackberry Unwind (10 mg × 30) | $42.99 | 300 mg | 14.3¢ |
| Diet Smoke Blue Raspberry D8 (10 mg × 30) | $42.99 | 300 mg | 14.3¢ |
| EMPE USA D9 Live Rosin (60 ct) | $99.00 | 600 mg | 16.5¢ |
| Diet Smoke Acapulco Gold | $65.99 | 200 mg | 33.0¢ |
| FOCL THC+ Happy (5 mg × 30) — CBD blend | $59.00 | 150 mg | 39.3¢ |
| EMPE USA D9 Infused (50 mg × 10) | $24.99 | 50 mg | 50.0¢ |

What this actually shows. The dominant variable is not brand or quality — it is package size. Every product at the cheap end is a high-total-milligram jar. Every product at the expensive end is a small pack, a low-dose formula, or both.
That is not a trick. It is the same economics as any other packaged good: you are paying for the packaging, the shipping and the transaction as much as the contents, and those costs barely change with dose. A 10-count pack has to recover them across 50 mg. A 2,000 mg jar spreads them across forty times more product.
The practical consequence, though, is uncomfortable. Buying in bulk is dramatically cheaper per milligram, and buying in bulk is also how people end up consuming more than they meant to. A 2,000 mg jar at 1.5 cents per milligram is superb value only if you were going to use 2,000 milligrams. If you take one 10 mg gummy on a Friday, a small pack you actually finish is better value than a jar that goes stale — see our shelf life guide.
THC beverages: a category of their own
| Product | Price | Total THC | Cost per mg |
|---|---|---|---|
| High Spirits Just Grape Seltzer | $29.99 | 50 mg | 60.0¢ |
| High Spirits Iced Tea Lemonade Seltzer | $29.99 | 50 mg | 60.0¢ |
| High Spirits Cherry Limeade Seltzer | $14.99 | 5 mg | $3.00 |
Beverages are the most expensive way to buy THC by a wide margin, and it would be misleading to present that as a failing. You are buying liquid, cans and shipping weight, and the correct comparison is not a gummy jar — it is a craft beer or a cocktail, where nobody expects to pay by the milligram.
Worth knowing before you order, though: at $3.00 per milligram, a low-dose seltzer is roughly two hundred times the cost per milligram of a bulk gummy jar. Buy them for the format and the occasion, not for the dose. Our beginner's guide to THC drinks covers what they are good for.
CBD, where the spread is also large
| Product | Format | Price | Total CBD | Cost per mg |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FOCL Daily Calm Drops | Tincture | $39.00 | 3,000 mg | 1.3¢ |
| Vida Optima Vitality CBD Oil | Tincture | $44.95 | 2,000 mg | 2.3¢ |
| CBDfx Blue Raspberry Vape Pen | Vape | $34.99 | 1,500 mg | 2.3¢ |
| JustCBD Vape Disposable | Vape | $24.99 | 1,000 mg | 2.5¢ |
| CBDfx Full Spectrum Capsules | Capsules | $39.99 | 1,500 mg | 2.7¢ |
| FOCL Deep Relief Cream | Topical | $39.00 | 1,000 mg | 3.9¢ |
| EMPE USA CBD Pet Treats | Pet | $49.99 | 1,200 mg | 4.2¢ |
| Just Delta CBD Gummies jar | Gummies | $45.00 | 1,000 mg | 4.5¢ |
| Premium Jane Vegan CBD Gummies | Gummies | $58.00 | 750 mg | 7.7¢ |
| Premium Jane Full Spectrum CBD Oil | Tincture | $125.00 | 1,000 mg | 12.5¢ |
Two patterns stand out.
Tinctures are usually the cheapest way to buy CBD — they carry the highest total milligrams per bottle and the least manufacturing. They are also the least convenient, which is most of why gummies outsell them.
Concentration drives price far more than brand does. The two tinctures at opposite ends of this table are separated by a factor of nearly ten, and the main difference between them is that one bottle holds three times the CBD. If you use CBD daily, buying the higher-concentration bottle and taking a smaller volume is the single biggest saving available in this category.
Flower, priced per gram
Flower cannot be compared in milligrams sensibly, so here it is per gram, all in 3.5 g units.
| Product | Price (3.5 g) | Per gram |
|---|---|---|
| Bloomz Hemp Delta-8 Flower | $24.99 | $7.14 |
| Bloomz Hemp THCA Flower | $27.99 | $8.00 |
| Bloomz Hemp THC-P Flower | $29.99 | $8.57 |
| Haze Cereal Milk THCA Pre-Rolls | $35.00 | $10.00 |
| Bloomz Hemp THCA Snow Caps | $45.99 | $13.14 |
| Premium Jane OG Kush THCA | $49.00 | $14.00 |
A two-fold spread, which is narrow by the standards of everything else here. Indoor cultivation, cure quality and cannabinoid percentage account for most of it. Note that this whole category is the one most directly affected by the federal deadline.
How to use this when you shop
Do the division yourself. Total milligrams divided by price. It takes five seconds and it is the only way to compare a 10-count pack with a 60-count jar.
Check whether the headline number is THC or total cannabinoids. A "1,000 mg" gummy jar might be 1,000 mg of CBD with 30 mg of THC. Both are legitimate products; they are not the same purchase.
Buy the size you will actually finish. The bulk discount is real and large, and it is worthless on product that expires in a drawer.
Apply the code before comparing. Discounts of 15–33% are standing rather than occasional in this category, and they change the ranking. Check our deals page.
Do not read cheap as bad. The cheapest products here are cheap because they are sold in bulk, not because they are inferior. Judge quality on the lab report, not the price — our guide to vetting a hemp brand covers how.
Method
Prices are the listed prices in our review catalogue at the time of writing, before discount codes. Milligram figures are the totals stated by the brand on the product. We included only products whose potency is stated plainly enough to divide; blends where the milligram split across cannabinoids is unclear are excluded rather than estimated. Cost per milligram is calculated on the named cannabinoid only, which understates the value of CBD-dominant formulas — noted in the table where it applies.
We intend to refresh this periodically. If a price here is out of date, tell us through our contact page.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a good price per milligram for THC gummies?
In our catalogue, anything under about 10 cents per milligram is strong value and generally means a large-format jar. Ten to twenty cents is typical for a standard 30-count pack. Above thirty cents you are usually paying for a small package, a low-dose formula, or a premium extraction.
Why are THC drinks so expensive per milligram?
You are paying for liquid, cans and shipping weight. The right comparison is a craft beer, not a gummy jar. Buy them for the format rather than the dose.
Is a higher price per milligram ever worth it?
Yes. Live rosin and live resin cost more to produce than distillate, indoor flower costs more than outdoor, and CBD-dominant ratio products carry most of their value in the CBD rather than the THC. Cost per milligram is one lens, not a ranking.
What is the cheapest way to buy CBD?
A high-concentration tincture, in our data by a clear margin. Concentration matters more than brand: the highest-concentration bottle in this comparison costs about a tenth per milligram of the lowest.
