CBD vs THCA vs Delta 8 vs THC-P Flower
CBD flower is non-intoxicating. It looks and smells like cannabis and burns the same way, but the cannabinoid doing the work is CBD.
THCA flower tests under the federal delta-9 limit in the jar because the THCA has not been heated yet. Light it and it converts, which is why it is the closest thing to conventional flower on this list. Our THCA vs delta-9 explainer covers the chemistry.
Delta-8 flower is hemp bud infused with delta-8 distillate. Most people find it milder than delta-9 at the same dose. See our beginner guide to the delta family.
THC-P flower uses a cannabinoid that binds far more strongly than delta-9. Percentages on the label are not comparable to a THCA jar, so start small.

What is the difference between hemp flower and cannabis flower?
Legally, hemp flower contains under 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight. THCA flower meets that definition on paper because the THCA has not yet converted, which is why it is sold as hemp.
Is THCA flower intoxicating?
THCA itself is not, but heat converts it to delta-9 THC, so smoking or vaping it produces the same effects as conventional flower.
How strong is THC-P flower?
THC-P binds far more strongly than delta-9, so a THC-P jar feels much stronger than the percentage on the label suggests. Treat it as an experienced-user product.
Can hemp flower be shipped to my state?
