Two of the longest-running hemp brands in America, both founded around the same time, both still independently run, both with genuine lab discipline. They diverge on almost everything else — range, dose sizes, price per milligram, and what they are willing to sell you.
CBDfx if you want CBD — better price per milligram on gummies, a proper tincture strength ladder, and a wider wellness range.
Koi if you want intoxicating hemp — THCA flower, high-potency multi-cannabinoid gummies, and a better returns policy.
Both are legitimate. Neither is the cheap option.

CBD gummies: CBDfx wins on value
This is the closest and most consequential comparison, because gummies are how most people buy CBD.
CBDfx’s Original Mixed Berry is 1500mg in a 60-count jar at $54.99 — 25mg per gummy at 3.7¢ per milligram, with 3000mg and 6000mg versions above it. Koi’s Complete Full Spectrum is also 25mg per gummy, at 4.7¢ per milligram in the 60-count and 4.3¢ in the 120.
So CBDfx is cheaper per milligram at a comparable size, and its 6000mg jar goes further than anything Koi offers. CBDfx also has more variety in what the gummy does — turmeric and spirulina, apple cider vinegar, multivitamin, mushrooms, melatonin for sleep — where Koi has essentially two CBD gummies and a CBN one.

Tinctures: not really a contest
Koi sells one CBD oil: 1000mg in 30ml, five flavours, $69.99. That is the whole tincture range.
CBDfx sells a ladder from 1000mg to 6000mg across several formulations — CBD with CBG for daytime, CBD with CBN for sleep, ultra full spectrum with THC, and mushroom blends. If you dose heavily, or you want a specific cannabinoid pairing, Koi cannot serve you and CBDfx can.

THC and THCA: Koi wins outright
This is where the brands genuinely diverge. CBDfx makes hemp delta-9 gummies and full-spectrum products with THC in them, and stops there.
Koi sells THCA flower in three tiers with six named strains, infused pre-rolls, a 5g THCA/THCP/delta-9 disposable vape, delta-8 gummies in two strengths, delta-9 in two strengths, and the Dragon Blend at 125mg of combined cannabinoids per gummy. Topicals: Koi, on price
Koi’s Full Spectrum Balm is 3000mg for $99.99 — 3.3¢ per milligram, which is the cheapest cannabinoid either brand sells in any format. Dragon Balm adds 135mg of THC to a CBD base, which CBDfx does not offer in a topical.

Lab work, guarantees and history
Both brands batch-test through accredited third-party labs and publish certificates. Neither cuts corners here, and both are unusual in having survived more than a decade in a category with enormous churn.
Koi has the better returns policy by a clear margin: a full refund within 90 days and 50% back up to 150 days is effectively a five-month trial.
